Dr. Athanasios G. Papanikolaou
Dr. Papanikolaou Athanasios was born and lives in Athens with his family. He graduated from the 2nd High School of N. Psychiko with honors.
In 2005 he received his medical degree at one of the oldest universities in Europe, in Bologna, Italy. He obtained his license to practice in Italy in 2006 and then in the same year, in Greece. In 2007 he practiced the rural service as a rural doctor in Dafni, Kalavryta. He started his specialty in 2008 at the Breast Surgery Clinic of Theageneio Oncology Hospital of Thessaloniki. In 2009 he served as a doctor in the army.
He then advanced his specialty in the Gynecology Clinic at the General Hospital of Laiki Hospital and completed his specialty in 2015, as a Gynecologist – Obstetrician at the First University Clinic of Athens at the General Hospital of Alexandra. During his residency he took part in numerous gynecological and obstetric surgeries and contributed to the management of many cases of a wide range of gynecology and obstetrics.
In 2013 she received her Master's degree in "Research in Female Reproduction" from the University of Athens, with honors.
He has attended numerous conferences and his scientific work includes free announcements in scientific conferences and various publications.
Since June 2015, Athanasios Papanikolaou is considered a certified colposcopy doctor by the Hellenic Colposcopy Society and a member of it.
Since 06/2019 Athanasios Papanikolaou holds a license to perform gynecological and obstetric ultrasounds, with approval from KESY (Central Health Council) of the Ministry of Health and certification of colposcopy performance by the Hellenic Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology – HSCCP.
